A View of Historic Wilmington photography exhibit by Mike Bryand
Friday, January 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
On Friday January 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. the Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens will present the opening of local photographer Mike Bryand’s show “A View of Historic Wilmington” and the pop-up exhibit “Figurines are Fun: Whimsical 18th and 19th Century Statuettes.”
While “A View of Historic Wilmington” will remain open through February 20, “Figurines are Fun” will be on display only on Fourth Friday Gallery Night.
“A View of Historic Wilmington” captures local landmarks in photographs that Mike Bryand has transformed through an array of digital techniques, resulting in painterly effects. “Morning on the Riverwalk” depicts a scenic view of the iconic Cape Fear Memorial Bridge taken from the Riverwalk in downtown Wilmington.
Bryand has lived in Wilmington for over 28 years and started photographing the local landscape and area 16 years ago, turning his passion into a full-time career with a vast portfolio.
