The Descendants Circle, is a membership group exclusively for descendants of those families whose lineage runs directly through the legacy of Wilmington’s oldest and largest historic site, the Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens.
Exclusive Descendants Circle amenities: 1) A staff-administered, hour-long oral history recording session during which you will be able to share your family’s treasured stories and traditions for inclusion in the Descendants Circle Permanent Collection. 2) Opportunity to donate photos and heirloom objects to the Permanent Collection. 3) A quarterly newsletter curated and distributed exclusively for Descendants offering updates on in-house research, dispatches from other Descendants chronicling new family discoveries, information on all museum events, upcoming projects and more. 4) Unlimited free tours of the house for your family. 5) Help connecting you to other members and families. 6) Access to the site for family-related events, including reunions and meetings. 7) Access to the Burgwin-Wright ancestry family trees. 8) Exclusive access to a new members-only Descendants Circle Facebook group for members to foster continued discussion, connection and memory sharing. To join the Descendants Circle: 1) $200 minimum annual donation to Burgwin-Wright House & Gardens to continue preservation of the colonial home and grounds. 2) Share genealogical history so staff can best place you in the ever-expanding family histories in the house.
