School Field Trip

Experienced museum educators provide an engaging program for students of all ages about the people that once lived and worked on the Burgwin-Wright House property.

Guided through the fully furnished 1770 house, 1744 jail buildings, and outdoor kitchen house, students learn about the lives of the prisoners, planter class, and enslaved people in the context of Colonial North Carolina.

The program can be tailored according to grade level, subject focus, and time constraints. This program meets social studies Common Core State Standards and North Carolina Essential Standards.

School groups of 15 or more qualify for a group tour admission fee of $5.00 (plus tax) per person.

Please call 910-762-0570 or email [email protected] for more information and to make reservations.
